Mitete, 25th June, 2024:- The Mitete Town Council has handed over K2, 324,000 in Constituency Development Fund (CDF) empowerment funds to 850 grant beneficiaries from 85 clubs. The funds are from the 2024 youth, women and Community CDF empowerment allocation.

Mitete Constituency Member of Parliament Honorable Misheck Mutelo graced the hand-over ceremony. Hon. Mutelo in his address, encouraged the beneficiaries to put the money to good use. The clubs received different amounts ranging from K20, 000 and K39, 000 each. And Mitete Town Council Chairperson Mr. Martin Lukonga emphasised the need for the beneficiaries to stick to their Business plans with a view to achieving the intended purpose of government empowerment funds.

 

The beneficiaries expressed delighted with the empowerment funds and reassured the local authority of their commitment to investing the funds. Others who attended the hand over event are Mitete Council Secretary Mr. Kennedy Kazanda and CDF Chairperson Mr. Martin Chifwaba.
